Introducing… Bloomberg News
19/04/2019

Some of our readers may already be familiar with Bloomberg’s News service, available via their website. But did you know that News is also available on Bloomberg terminals? Because it mainly relates to what is happening in the world’s financial markets, there is lots to be found on trading between companies, on mergers and acquisitions and the economy in general. Whereas online there is no historical archive of news items, the Bloomberg terminal provides access to both current and historical news stories.
To access News, you need to log into Bloomberg. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to create an account first. If you are new to Bloomberg, you can check out our Bloomberg basics blog post.
Type <N> to take you straight to the News Screen. This lists all the news from various channels, including Twitter and web services.
Various filters are available to find stories on people, companies, securities and specific topics.
Source company news instantly by using <CN> – and search using company names or tickers.
As always, if you have any further questions or queries about Bloomberg please speak with a member of the Library staff or email us.
