Feedforward Anticipatory Control
06/06/2014
Today was graduation day at Cranfield University and Mark Baker (or as we should now cal him Dr Mark Baker) won the best doctoral thesis award for his work on the use of feedforaward control in the development and management of New Product Portfolio’s in the sport fashion business.
Mark’s work took inspiration from the management control literature and combined this with best practice in his company to create a set of grades of sophistication for the management of the range build process. Mark tested his approach. He found no only that managers found it useful, but that higher levels of sophistication in use of controls was associated with higher performance.
