Keen to develop your study skills?

28/05/2026

Alongside the technical skills and academic knowledge that you will gain on your course, as a Cranfield student you have the opportunity to develop a range of other skills that can enhance your learning experience. Our library staff offer a range of taught sessions on a variety of skills, from reading strategies, presenting and writing in an academic style, to referencing and much more!

The Study Skills Hub in Canvas takes this further by putting your learning in your hands. You can use the self-paced resources to learn transferable life skills as well as support your academic success. It is available for everyone whatever the focus or level of your study and you can dip into it whenever you need.

We have gathered the information under six key skills categories, giving you top tips and tools to help you study and work smarter: academic language support, academic writing, assessment and assignments, effective communication and collaboration, reading and research, and personal development and practice.
