The banner under which they concentrate their focus can fall under 1 of the following 4 categories: Education, Health, Environment and Entrepreneurship.
Stock
Astra otoparts carry 4000 SKUs, 40 % of which are fast moving. Stock levels held within the DCs account for 1.7 months worth of sales. Total stock checks are completed bi-annually, with an accuracy level of 99.6%. As quoted by Astra Otoparts all fast moving parts are “close to the floor and close to the door”
Stock holding levels of this magnitude are in place to cope with long import lead times of up to 3 months, and delays within the customs areas at the ports.
