Introducing… SDC Platinum
11/01/2017

Mergers, acquisitions and equity issues form part of the day-to-day business environment.
Researchers in such transactions might involve:
- IPO data
- Equity (share) issues
- The M&A market
- Cross-industry or cross-country transactions.
If you’re doing some serious number-crunching and looking to download large quantities of data, the best place for you to start is SDC Platinum. SDC is one of the world’s largest transactions databases with data back to the 1970s for the US market and the 1980s for international markets.
SDC is available on on PCs in MIRC and the School of Management Computer Studio via the VMware Horizon icon on the desktop. For more information on how to login to VMWare, see our post on accessing Eikon here. Due to its specialist nature, we would advise first time users spend some time with a member of MIRC staff before logging in for the first time.
Good starting points for research in equity transactions are our guides here to Researching IPOs and Researching M&A.
Any questions on SDC Platinum or any of our other finance resources, please contact MIRC.
