Library services over the Christmas period
12/12/2023
Kings Norton Library and our School of Management Library will be open 24/7 throughout the holiday period as a study space. Library staff will work until 6pm on Friday 15 December and will resume their normal working hours from 9am on Tuesday 2 January. In their absence, you are welcome to borrow and return items using the self-service machines.
Barrington Library will close at 6pm on Friday 15 December and reopen at 8.30am on Tuesday 2 January.
Reservations and postal requests received after 4pm on Friday 15 December will be processed after Tuesday 2 January.
Online support
Please remember that most of our library resources (databases, eJournals and eBooks) are available via our website 24/7, as are our referencing and research support areas and lots more. You may also find it helpful to search our blog as many of our previous posts answer frequently asked questions. LinkedIn Learning can provide support for using applications and programmes such as Excel, Matlab and Python.
Additionally you can use our 24/7 online chat service throughout the holiday period. Cover will provided by a global team of reference librarians so you can still get in touch whenever you have a question. If they are unable to answer it they will email us and we will reply to you as soon as possible on our return to work. Access it as you usually do, from our Library Services website.
