Jakarta study tour – the long journey to McDonald’s!
09/05/2017

Well, we had our first real experience of the infamous Jakarta traffic on the way to our second site with a 3.5 mile journey taking just short of 4 hours! We were surrounded by container lorries all coming in or out of the port so can only imagine the issues logistics planners have trying to get their deliveries in and out within agreed timescales.
The main hold up seemed to be from the roadworks needed to repair the road surface which was in a very poor condition. Four-way junctions were particularly challenging and often led to gridlock as vehicles played a game of “who dares wins”!
