Collecting your book reservations has changed!
18/08/2025

We now have lockers on the ground floor of Kings Norton Library so you can pick up your reservations 24/7. They were previously in use at the School of Management Library and replace our “green box” system.
All you need to do is find the items you want to reserve on Library Search, and then select Kings Norton Library as your Pickup Library.
We will then send you an email to let you know when your item is ready for collection. Once you have received it, just head to the lockers. Simply follow the instructions on screen, scan your University ID card, and the screen will list your available book(s). Select which you want to collect or tap “Select All”, then tap “Open Locker”. The books will be automatically issued to you and the door will open. You can print a receipt if you would like one, or get it emailed to you. And while you’re there, you can also review your account and renew your loans.
When you have finished with your loan, simply take it back to the locker, tap the option to “Return” and follow the instructions on screen again. The returns bin will light up to show you where to post the book, and will lock again when you tap “Finished”. You may also return your books using the self-issue machines on Floor 1 if you prefer.
There are instructions on the lockers but please let us know if you have any problems using them and we will be happy to help you!
