Taking part in the Lufthansa Challenge
26/07/2021
Being part of the Lufthansa Challenge is something that can only be described as a phenomenal opportunity!
I heard about this competition from my Course Director, Kenisha Garnett. For this competition, it was open for entries from across the world and only ten students were shortlisted… and I was one among the ten!
The competition was a unique because we had a team of seven and there was only one assigned student, and rest of the enlisted members were employees from Lufthansa. It was a great experience working with people who have fifteen plus years of experience in the company.
It was a proud moment for me to represent Cranfield University in this competition and I got really good feedback from all the employees at the end of the competition. We presented a business idea at the end of the competition and Lufthansa are now in the stages of implementing this idea! It has been great working as a ‘Sustainability Evaluator’ and to see my work be applied to solve real world problems within industry.
I plan all my work according to my time constraints and how the work takes priority. Of course, it doesn’t always go to plan, but I prepare a timetable and a to-do list, which helps me to manage and complete all my work within the time and meet my deadlines
