Securing an internship with a globally recognised brand
29/11/2024

I recently completed my MSc in Management at Cranfield School of Management, an institution renowned for its exceptional faculty and world-class resources. As a 24-year-old student coming from India, I chose Cranfield because of its reputation for delivering practical, hands-on knowledge, particularly in the management field.
This practical approach, when combined with my background in engineering, offered me a unique perspective on addressing management challenges.
My passion for sustainability began during my final year of engineering when I developed a gasifier prototype designed to generate electricity from renewable waste. This project sparked a deep interest in sustainable solutions, a passion that I carried with me to Cranfield. The MSc Management course not only deepened my understanding of management principles but also allowed me to explore how these could be applied to sustainability challenges.
A dream come true!
One of the highlights of my time at Cranfield was securing an internship with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, a globally recognised brand. Here, I worked on a critical project focused on Scope 3 carbon emissions—a key area in sustainability that involves reducing indirect emissions throughout the supply chain. This opportunity was a dream come true, and I owe much of it to the unwavering support from Cranfield’s Careers Team. Their guidance, from refining my resume to preparing for interviews, was instrumental in landing this role.
In addition to the Careers Team, I received invaluable support from my course director, Professor Michael Dickmann. His insights and knowledge played a significant role in shaping my approach to the internship and my overall career path.
Finding my career path
Before joining Cranfield, I was uncertain about which specific career path to pursue. However, the comprehensive experience I gained through the taught modules, the knowledge shared by esteemed professors, and the diverse perspectives of my peers provided me with the clarity I needed. By the end of my course, I was confident in my decision to build a career in sustainability.
Looking ahead, I’m excited about the opportunities in this field and am eager to apply the skills and knowledge I’ve acquired to make a positive impact on the world. Cranfield has equipped me with the tools I need to navigate the challenges of the future, and I’m grateful for the experiences and memories I’ve made along the way.
