Need some help settling in? Wobble Week 2026
26/10/2026

Whether you’re finding it hard to settle into your course or accommodation, you arrived late and are struggling to catch up, you feel overwhelmed or you can’t remember everything you’ve already been told, we can help! Feeling uncertain is really natural and “Wobble Week”, from Monday 2 until Friday 6 November is here to provide the support you need to get back on track.
Library webinars
Library resources are central to your learning and to completing assignments successfully but if you don’t know where to find information, the databases give you nightmares, or referencing leaves you in a spin – it’s not too late! We’re running webinars every day of Wobble Week, 12.30-1.30pm.
- Monday: Late starters’ library induction – whether you missed your original induction session or just want to hear it all again!
- Tuesday: Finding academic articles for your assignments
- Wednesday: How to manage your references: Choosing the right approach for you
- Thursday: How to use AI tools for literature searching and research
- Friday: Getting started with Zotero
All sessions will be recorded and a copy sent to everyone who registers, so please sign up if you’re interested but unable to attend the live session. Book your place.
Student Wellbeing and Disability Support (SWaDS)
The SWaDS team are on hand to help you work through any difficulties related to your academic studies, no matter how big or small. If you are worried, or are experiencing mental health or wellbeing concerns, or if you are worried about another student, please contact them.
Accommodation
The Cranfield site accommodation team will be at the Student Hub on Tuesday and Thursday, 11.30am-1.30pm to answer your questions and provide advice.
The CSA
Pop over to the CSA on the Cranfield site at lunchtime on Tuesday, 1-2pm and wobble away any worries by making a fidget ring.
