My thesis survey on COVID-19
03/07/2020

Health and food security has been one of the most spoken about topics during recent years and more so during the COVID-19 pandemic. Amongst other businesses, the food and beverage supply network has been severely disrupted in the first weeks of lockdown but experiences would differ as supplier agreements and other factors such a location, season and mode of trading and food types affect the availability to consumers.
Cranfield University has a very unique population due to its vast diversity. The students and staff members that remained in the U.K are expected to represent various diets and consumer behavior. The immediate effects resulted in many students and staff relocating to their homes in different UK regions.
Therefore, I drafted an anonymous survey which aims to quantify how COVID-19 has affected fruit & vegetable consumption by Cranfield communities. It serves as part of my individual Thesis Project entitled ‘The impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on UK fruit and vegetable production and consumption’.
This survey is aimed at all Cranfield University staff & students and members who remained in the UK at all stages of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Please encourage your colleagues to participate and so increase the quality of the study.
