McDonald’s and Havi Working Collaboratively
11/05/2016

Written by Rebecca, Chrissy & Michael
This afternoon we meet with McDonald’s (the customer) and enjoyed lunch, some of us enjoyed a burger whilst the more adventurous members of the group enjoyed McDonald’s Indonesian style!

We explored the McDonald’s supply chain and got a feel for its complexities and challenges. The distance and lack of infrastructure require careful consideration to ensure stock availability.

Scott bonding with likeminded soul!

We then visted Havi who manage McDonald’s inventory in a temperature controlled environment and distribution network. They work very much in partnership which has proved to be mutually beneficial.
We experienced -20C in the freezer whilst most of us enjoyed the moment to cool down momentarily…

Ceri would have spend the rest of the week in these conditions rather than go back out into the humidity of the Indonesian climate!
