Moneyball (2011)
The story of Billy Beane, a baseball manager without the cash to buy star players who turns to computer-based analysis to find overlooked players capable of winning. Based on the book by Michael Lewis.
The Big Short (2015)
Another Michael Lewis adaptation, this film uses unconventional methods to explain the corruption beneath the U.S. housing market crash of 2005, through the lives of three investors who bet against the market with unimaginable consequences.
Wall Street (1987)
A classic portrayal of ruthlessness, greed and ambition. After seeking the mentorship of the notorious Gordon Gecko, a series of corrupt deals forces banker Bud Fox to reevaluate his priorities.
If you enjoy this, try the 2010 sequel featuring a slightly older Michael Douglas and Shia LeBeouf.
The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)
An adaptation of Jordan Belfort’s memoir, this is the story of a penny trader who rose to become a wealthy stockbroker, but whose fortunes were reversed when he was found guilty of fraud and imprisoned.
Money Monster (2016)
A financial television personality is taken hostage live on air by an investor who has nothing left to lose.
