Dr Kim Vercruysse is an interdisciplinary researcher specialising the many physical and societal interactions related to water and river catchment management. A focal aspect of her research is improving understanding of systems functioning by combining insights from different disciplines such as fluvial geomorphology, hydrology, engineering and social sciences. She is currently a research fellow at Cranfield University, working on understanding social-environmental interactions and trade-offs in the land-river interface through an ecosystem services approach.
