Jutta Tobias, PhD, is a social psychologist with 20 years of work experience in organisational development and capacity-building in six countries on three continents. Dr Tobias researches and teaches personal development and leadership in collaboration with executive students and in a variety of organisations. Through her teaching and coaching, Jutta helps individuals develop their personal resilience and emotional intelligence. She works with groups to help improve their decision-making, overcome obstacles in managing change and organisational learning, and generate sustainable performance. Jutta’s current research focus is on establishing a scientific evidence base for linking mindfulness-based interventions with organisational transformation. She has received several Cranfield University Research and Teaching Awards, including for her innovative work on incorporating mindfulness into academic and executive education after introducing thousands of senior managers and executive students to mindfulness. Jutta's research has been published in a number of academic journals, and she regularly speaks on workplace mindfulness and leadership at academic conferences and as invited speaker at public knowledge-sharing events, including in the UK Houses of Parliament, Cabinet Office, and Department of Health. She also contributed to the “Mindful Nation UK” report, a policy recommendation document released in the UK Parliament in October 2015 with bipartisan sponsorship from the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Mindfulness. Jutta’s work has been featured widely including in the Financial Times, The Sunday Times, the Huffington Post, on the BBC World Service, and in the TV documentary “The Mindful Revolution”.
