School of Management Library closes on Thursday 31 July
14/07/2025

The School of Management Library in Building 111 will permanently close on Thursday 31 July at 5pm. Some equipment and furniture will move to Kings Norton Library next week (w/c 21st July), staff will move on Friday 1 August, and the remaining services and resources will move the following week.
Bloomberg Suite
- The Bloomberg Suite will be located on the ground floor of Kings Norton Library, in what is currently the Librarians’ Office, and will remain swipe card controlled.
- Five Bloomberg terminals will move w/c 21st July and the rest will follow in early August. The existing policy for advance booking will continue.
Business Librarians
- The Business Librarians will stay in Building 111 until 31 July and will move to new desks in Kings Norton Library on Friday 1 August. You will be able to find them on Floor 2, at the top of the stairs, along with the wider Librarians and Study Skills team who will have been relocated from their existing office.
Book collection
- The books will move to the Kings Norton Library in the first week of August. From Thursday 31 July the book stock will be unavailable until the move is complete. We will also be turning off the option for you to reserve books from the collection. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Reservations locker
- The reservations locker will move to the ground floor of Kings Norton Library in early August and will become available for use by all customers.
Disruption in Kings Norton Library
- We apologise in advance for any noise and disruption caused in Kings Norton Library whilst we move furniture and relocate staff and equipment. This is highly probable the w/c 21 July and during the book move in August. We will advertise these dates in advance in case you would prefer to study elsewhere. We appreciate that many students will be working on their theses, but we need to complete the move before the new academic year begins.
