09/05/2017

Cranfield University campus

Getting into more debt may not be the only way to cover the costs of your Master’s study here at Cranfield this year. There are more options than just the student loan – make sure you are  looking into opportunities for funding that you don’t have to pay back! As an exciting start check out the new Santander Home Grown Scholarship here at Cranfield University.

Santander Home Grown scholarship

With our friends at Santander this scholarship is just for UK students and we particularly want those local to Cranfield to have a shot at this great chance to fund your studies. The scholarship is worth £7,000 and students from Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire and Wiltshire are encouraged to apply. Don’t delay – there is not much time to apply for your course and have a shot at the scholarship. To be considered, apply for admission and register your interest in the scholarship by emailing studentfunding@cranfield.ac.uk by 26 May 2017.

More UK scholarships…

Also, exclusively at Cranfield for our UK students are Cranfield Scholarships, The Andrea Wilson Memorial Bursary, The Lockheed Martin UK Scholarship and the Future Finance Scholarship. It’s easy to apply so just click on the links and follow the instructions.

Don’t miss out on funding that could help you from the range of funding bodies that support UK postgraduate students. All details can be found on the Cranfield University Funding Finder so click these links to give yourself a chance of funding.

Society of Underwater Technology – apply by 29 July 2017.

Student loans

It has now been confirmed that Master’s Loans will be available across the UK in 2017. UK students who are resident in Scotland*, Wales and Northern Ireland can now get a Master’s loan to study at Cranfield after being excluded from the scheme launched with Student Finance England last year. Applications for Postgraduate Loans will open online by the end of June.

*Scottish students studying full-time can get a loan if the course they will study at Cranfield is not offered at a Scottish university.

The Cranfield Postgraduate Loan Scheme is back this year and is an innovative funding programme providing affordable tuition fee and maintenance loans for those from the UK. You can get a loan of £8,000 if you are studying a full-time masters course in a STEM subject. The loan is operated by Prodigy Finance and you can apply online once you have an offer for your course.
