Live chat with Barrington Library staff
We are delighted to announce that from Monday 21 June you will be able to live chat with our staff on the Barrington Library websiteevery weekday, 9am-12pm and 1-4pm.
We hope that this will particularly benefit Cranfield Defence and Security staff and students who are still unable to visit the site in person.
We will be learning as we go, so we will be running the chat as a pilot until 16 July. Please be patient if we need to work out any unexpected technical issues.
Where will I find it?
You will see this “Chat to us” button on the right-hand side of any page on the Barrington Library site. Simply click on it and it will slide out. Fill in the short form to get your enquiry started.
What if I need help outside that time slot?
We are here to help you from 9am-5pm every weekday. Please be assured that we are constantly monitoring our email inbox during these hours so you won’t have to wait very long for a reply! You are welcome to email us as an alternative to live chat, (we know not everyone likes it!), or if you think your enquiry is too detailed. Email Barrington Library
After 16 July we will review the success of the pilot, including customer demand and technical issues and will let you know if we will continue with live chat as part of our everyday service. If it has gone well, we will also investigate expanding the service to the Kings Norton Library and MIRC websites.
