Simplifying REF compliance
11/05/2017

To be eligible for the next Research Excellence Framework (REF), submissions published after 1 April 2016 must be made Open Access, i.e. available via an institutional or subject repository and free to read online or download. (This only applies to material with an ISSN.)
To simplify this process for authors at Cranfield, the Research and Innovation Office and Information Services (Libraries) have developed a simple procedure for newly accepted papers:
- On confirmed acceptance of your journal article, please forward publisher notification email to accepted@cranfield.ac.uk.
- Please attach the final copy of your manuscript (ideally post-review, pre-published).
- We will then create a record for you in CRIS (Cranfield Research Information System).
For more information, please visit the ‘Simplifying REF compliance’ intranet page, or email accepted@cranfield.ac.uk with any questions about REF eligibility,
