Researching IPOs

Company flotations happen on a daily basis.  Many, such as LinkedIn or Facebook, are high profile and attract a great deal of media attention but how can you find out the details behind the Initial Public Offering (IPO)?

There are a number of MIRC resources which will help you when researching IPOs: SDC Platinum, Thomson One and Bloomberg.

Using these resources you can:

  • Uncover the background stories to the IPO
  • Find the original IPO prospectuses
  • Find out how much capital was raised
  • Discover the analysts’ views both pre- and post the IPO.

For detailed guidance on how to find this information check out our guide to Researching IPOs.

Any questions, please contact MIRC.
