Preparing for a case interview
In an earlier post we looked at how to find case study articles from a variety of resources. But did you know that case studies can also be used in job interviews?
Case interviews are employed as a technique for testing skills and abilities in certain situations that are pertinent to a particular job or career. They are most often used in consulting.
We have a number of texts available in MIRC which explain how these work and how best to prepare for them. The most popular of these are:
- Crack the Case System: Complete Case Interview Prep by Ohrvall
- Ace your Case: Consulting Interviews by Wetfeet
- Case in Point: Complete Case Interview Preparation by Cosentino
There are also guides to case interviews available via Vault Career Intelligence. See our post on Vault here for more information.
