All Cranfield University staff and students can now buy books through a new dedicated online bookshop, which has been developed in partnership between the Library Service and independent retailer Wordery.com.
Wordery is one of the fastest growing online bookshops. It is competitively priced against larger retailers such as Amazon and offers free delivery to over 100 countries. It sells over 10 million books for both academic and personal use, including fiction and children’s’ books.
This is the first time Wordery has partnered with a University. The Library Service will receive a small commission on sales, to support us in further improving our services and access to library resources.
Simon Bevan, our University Librarian, said “With the closure of the Café Bookshop on the Cranfield campus, we were keen to provide an alternative source of textbooks and other educational and leisure materials for University students and staff across both University sites. Our partnership with Wordery will provide that service and with additional benefits to the University in the form of sales commission to feed back into the book budget.”
