MIRC and the Bloomberg Suite to reopen on 7 June
03/06/2021

We are delighted that we are able to reopen MIRC and the Bloomberg Suite on Monday 7 June. You probably won’t be surprised to read that things will be a little bit different though, at least to begin with.
MIRC will be open as a study space, but you will need to book your seat in advance and make a note of the seat number you have chosen. You will then need to check in when you arrive using the link in your confirmation email. Seating has been reduced to allow for social distancing; 10 spaces will be available in MIRC and 3 in the Bloomberg Suite.
Due to the current University requirement for all study space to be supervised, linked with staff availability, our opening hours will change to:
- Monday, 9am-12pm
- Tuesday, 2-5pm
- Wednesday, 9am-12pm
- Thursday, 2-5pm
- Friday, 2-5pm
Please read our advice before you visit.
You will notice that all the books have been removed. You can still borrow and return them via the Click and Collect Service offered by the Kings Norton Library.
We are sorry that we will be unable to offer any face-to-face support initially. Please email us mirc@cranfield.ac.uk any weekday between 9am-5pm and we will get back to you as quickly as possible.
We hope to ease restrictions further from 21 June. Please be patient with us. For further information about our ongoing service changes, please read our COVID-19 service update.
Online support
As always, the majority of our resources and support are available via our website 24/7.
MIRC staff are available online to help you every weekday, 9am-5pm. You are welcome to contact us by email and if you need more in-depth advice, please email your Information Specialist and they will arrange a video call with you.
