Library closures: Barrington Library 1 August, Kings Norton Library 6-8 August
25/07/2022

Barrington Library will be closed all day on Monday 1 August. This is due to essential maintenance work on the sub-station which will involve a full power shutdown of the building.
Kings Norton Library will close on Saturday 6 August and reopen on Tuesday morning (9 August) so the carpets can be cleaned. Building 37 will be open 24/7 as an alternative study space during this time. The Management Information and Resource Centre (MIRC) in Building 111 will also remain open, although access will be restricted to School of Management students over the weekend until 7am on Monday.
On both Mondays staff will be working from home and available to answer any enquiries or questions you might have. We will offer an online chat on the library website and constantly monitor our email during regular Welcome Desk hours, so you can get in touch however you prefer.
Finally, please be aware that library staff will not work evenings during August due to lack of demand for their help in previous years. Barrington Library will close at the earlier time of 5pm, and Kings Norton Library and MIRC will not run their online support 5-8pm. All other opening and staff hours will remain the same. Evening support will return from Monday 5 September.
If you have any questions about the closures, please email us at Kings Norton Library or Barrington Library.
