The UK Data Service, always an excellent source of guidance for data management, has released new introductory level interactive modules for users working with survey, longitudinal and aggregate data:
- The Survey Data Module takes about 2 hours and covers what survey data are, how they can be used, and looks at data and pattern analysis and sampling effets.
- The Longitudinal Data Module is also about 2 hours and covers what longitudinal data are, and how to download, prepare, and analyse such data.
- The Aggregate Data Module is about 1.5 hours and looks at what aggregate data are, use cases, summary statistics, and mapping census data.
Although each module takes up to 2 hours, they consist of multiple standalone units, so you can dip in and out at your own time. See more info and access the training at the UKDS data skills modules webpage.
