Details of the latest Doctoral Open Days have now been released on the British Library web pages. The Doctoral Open Days are a chance for new PhD students to discover the British Library’s unique research materials. The day will introduce you to the collections and how to access them, and provide an opportunity to meet expert staff and other researchers in your field. The events are aimed at first year PhD students who are new to the British Library.

The Social Sciences Open Day is on Friday 18th January, 2019.

The cost is £10 – including lunch and refreshments.

To make the most of your day, you may wish to get a free Reader Pass before the event or to apply for one on the day.  If you do decide to do so please make sure that you take the necessary documentation (personal identification and proof of address) with you.  You do not need to be resident in the UK to apply for a Reader Pass.
