With summer approaching, what better time is there to research the travel and tourism market! In this post we gather together the best of our resources on the topic.
FitchConnect
FitchConnect’s BMI service includes reports and daily analysis on 200 countries and regions of the world. Use the ‘Sectors’ menu at the top of the screen to view all content on Tourism. Country reports include a country-specific SWOT analysis and forecasts, along with information on major players.
Use the ‘Interactive Charts’ option on the ‘Data Tools’ menu to source and download industry specific data, such as number of hotels and establishments, and total arrivals and departures.

IBISWorld
IBISWorld provides in-depth analysis across the whole travel and tourism sector. UK, US and global reports are available, with each providing a detailed analysis of the current industry performance, competitive landscape, key players and future outlook. Included in IBISWorld are reports on Global Travel Agency Services, Global Tourism, Global Airlines, Global Hotels & Resorts, and Travel Agencies in the UK.

Passport
If you’re looking for international data, check out Passport. For most countries, Passport has reports on the Travel industry as a whole, further reports look at areas such as Airlines, Car Rental, Lodging, and Tourism Flows. Each report gives an overview of the local market including key trends, market background, business and operational environment, market indicators and data. You will also find links to related reports and statistics displayed on screen.
