In the current economic climate, it’s important to keep on top of the latest trends and forecasts which might impact on industries and businesses.

BMI Research is one of our go-to resources for researching a country or industry. Its coverage includes quarterly macroeconomic and country risk analysis for 200 countries and regions of the world. If you’re researching an industry, you’ll have access to analysis and reports for 22 industries, each providing information on the industry size, performance, a SWOT analysis, competitors, and trends in the market.

Alongside this, BMI also produces Special Reports and Hot Topics, each offering an in-depth analysis of key global industry and news as they happen. Some more recent Special Reports include ‘Internet of Things: The Industry Connection’, and ‘The Year Ahead: Global Industries Outlook 2017’. BMI’s current Hot Topics feature the ‘Global Trade Framework Under Pressure’, ‘Brexit Risks’, and ‘Assessing Industry Risks and Rewards’.

Within BMI, you can access both the Hot Topics and Special Reports by clicking on the appropriate link at the top menu bar.

BMI Research is available for both current staff and students, and also Cranfield University Alumni. Students working off-campus must access BMI via our off-campus link. You will also need a username and password which are available from MIRC staff.

As an alumnus, you can access BMI via the Alumni portal. Once logged into the portal, you will find the resource on Alumni Library Online (ALO).

As always, if you have any questions about our resources, please contact MIRC or the Kings Norton Library.
